Adventist Healthcare Fort Washington Visit

Acting County Executive Jackson recently visited Adventist Healthcare in Fort Washington. Prince George’s County faces a critical shortage of hospital beds, as highlighted in a recent healthcare needs assessment. To meet the growing demand for care, we're working to build a new Adventist hospital in Fort Washington. This state-of-the-art facility will expand access to essential healthcare services and ensure our residents get the care they need closer to home. The County is actively working to secure additional funding to make this project a reality and expand healthcare access throughout our community.

Colin Powell Academy Visit

school

Last week, Acting County Executive Jackson had the pleasure of visiting Colin Powell Academy in Fort Washington with Superintendent Millard House. Colin Powell Academy is one of the newest schools in Prince George’s County built through our innovative Public-Private Partnership (P3) Schools Construction Program. This state-of-the-art facility is providing our students with the high-quality learning environments they deserve. Together, we are investing in the future of our students and building a brighter tomorrow for Prince George’s County. Recently, the school system updated its immigrant community resources page, which you can view here, in response to community concerns about recent federal policy changes.  Prince George's County Public Schools remains steadfast in our commitment to ensuring that every child – regardless of background, language, or country of origin – receives a high-quality education in a safe, welcoming environment.
