Comptroller Franchot will visit the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Intergenerational Center at Delmarva Community Services (DCS) in Cambridge this afternoon. DCS is a multi-service, nonprofit agency dedicated to helping people maintain their dignity and an independent lifestyle.
The Comptroller then will travel to Salisbury where he will join Mayor Jake Day for a walking tour of the downtown corridor. The city has undergone a multi-year project to revamp its Main Street to encourage more pedestrian traffic and commerce. Starting at Riverside Traffic Circle, the tour will include visits to the Salisbury University Entrepreneurship Center, Mogan's Oyster House and Angello's Scoops & Unique Gifts, where the Comptroller will present proclamations recognizing their contributions to the city's revitalization.
