Fire Board Elections This Saturday!

If you live near Fisherville, Eastwood, Middletown, Lake Forest, Polo Fields, Shakes Run, or anywhere East of the Gene Snyder, the home you own is part of an independent Fire and EMS taxing district called "Anchorage-Middletown Fire and EMS (AMFEMS)".

AMFEMS covers from Fisherville north to the Ohio River, about 100,000 customers and a $50,000,000 total budget.

AMFEMS applies a tax to your home and auto of 17.3 cents per $100 value ($800-1000 per home/yr), and uses that to fund operations.

Property owning taxpayers elect 2 Trustees of the 7 member board.

One seat is up for election, a "Property Owner Representative" Trustee.

Elections are Saturday, June 28 , 11AM-2PM, at 108 URTON LANE (just off Shelbyville Rd @ Gene Snyder)

Very few people vote, or even know about these elections, so your involvement matters!
