Coffee With Your Councilman - Friday, August 9

coffee

My next 'Coffee with your Councilman' will be this Friday at the Northeast Regional Library, 15 Bellevoir Circle. We'll begin at 9:30 a.m. If you haven't attended one of my coffee meetings before, they are good opportunities to hear what's going on in metro government and share any questions or concerns you have. We'll also hear from TARC representatives who will be there to discuss TARC 2025. If you're interested in seeing some of the concepts for an updated TARC, this meeting is for you. Hope to see you Friday!

Speed Survey

Louisville Metro Public Works and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet have announced the creation of an online survey around speeding. This survey - together with crash data, a peer review of cities leading the way in terms of speed management, etc. - will shape our city's first ever Speed Management Plan. This plan will be an effort to manage speeds on non-interstate roadways through design, modernization of policies, and enforcement. The survey, available through September 30, takes just a few minutes to complete. I hope you'll be able to help!

Metro Boards and Commissions

Louisville Metro has close to 100 boards and commissions covering a wide range of topics such as economic development, parks, public safety, and land use. I'd love to see more District 17 constituents apply for the vacancies we have. If you'd like to lean more about our different boards and commissions and which ones currently have vacancies, click here.
