Farmer's Market at Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing, Opens Sunday
Join us for the kick off of our 3rd annual weekly Riverside Farmers’ Market on Sunday, June 2nd from 10 am to 1 pm! We’ll have local favorite Soul Fire Company Food Truck here and music from Sliverwood–plus our market vendors selling: locally-grown produce, microgreens, eggs, honey, flowers, home-made salsas, preserves, spice mixes, candies, soaps, lotions and creams, candles, some locally-made crafts, and more!

Summer Reading & Cultural Pass Kickoff on Satrday

School’s out and the 2024 Cultural Pass and library summer reading programs are here to prevent summer learning loss, provide fun and free arts and culture experiences, and inspire young people ages 0-21 to take full advantage of their passport to creativity!
Don't miss the 2024 Summer Reading and Cultural Pass Kickoff on June 1!
Join us at the Main Branch of the Louisville Free Public Library (301 York Street) on June 1 from 10 am - 1 pm for a kick off celebration!
Sign up for both programs and enjoy local food trucks, fun vendors such as face painting and roaming characters, performances from The Louisville Leopard Percussionists and Ambo Dance Company, and a demonstration from Louisville Zoo to make the day fun for all ages.
Pet Confinement in a Motor Vehicle
There is a law that states "A person shall not leave or confine an animal in any unattended motor vehicle under conditions that endanger the health or well-being of an animal due to heat, cold, lack of adequate ventilation, or lack of food or water, or other circumstances that could reasonably be expected to cause suffering, disability, or death to the animal."

How Can You Help with Illegal Dumping
Illegally dumped trash is more than just an eyesore! It is expensive to clean up, it negatively impacts our quality of life and economic development, and the plastic debris may end up in our waterways and oceans. Individuals caught dumping illegally may have their vehicle impounded and face fines and fees totaling about $1,000. We have recently posted images on social media asking for help identifying illegal dumpers caught on camera and reporting when a vehicle was impounded. WDRB also helped spread the word about the negative impacts of illegal dumping. View their story here. Residents are encouraged to fill out this online form if they witness illegal dumping. The form can also be used to share home security camera footage or images of illegal dumping occurring with our Solid Waste Enforcement Department. Go to Louisvilleky.gov/IllegalDumping to learn more about how you can help prevent illegal dumping. Did you know..? Many waste materials can be dropped off legally and for FREE. Up to three large household items, up to 4 passenger tires, and up to 3 electronics items can be dropped off for free at the at the Waste Reduction Center, located at 636 Meriwether Avenue.
