June 28, 2023
An earlier version of this newsletter indicated non-tree debris was accepted. For these sites opening today, ONLY TREE debris is accepted. The Waste Reduction Center on Merriweather Ave. will generally take other large items and construction debris from Louisville residents, but that is not related to the new sites opening for tree debris collection. If you have other items to dispose of that are not acceptable in regular trash collection, you may visit the Waste Reduction Center on Merriweather Ave., but please check their regulations and acceptable items beforehand. That information is available here.
We apologize for any confusion the earlier version may have created.

Dear Neighbor,
If you have remnants of downed trees, yard waste, building debris, or other items to clear from the storms, please visit one of three locations to properly dispose of those items. Many large items cannot be placed in regular garbage carts or left out. For those outside the Urban Services District, you are welcome to use these sites. Please check with your private waste haulers for any other options that may be available for disposal.
Enjoy the week,
Brent T. Ackerson 26th District Councilman
