The South Central Neighborhoods Plan will inform the future of development and transportation in Wilder Park, Beechmont, Southside, Southland, and Preston Park.
Join us on Wednesday, June 21st for an interactive Public Meeting to share your ideas for the future of your community. You can find us in the gym at Americana Community Center from 6:30-8:30 pm.
In-person Spanish and Vietnamese translation is provided. Tell your neighbors and bring a friend!

  Free Summer Cultural Pass
The 2023 Cultural Pass is your passport to creativity! Cultural Pass offers young people ages 0-21 and their families in the Greater Louisville area access to participate in arts and cultural activities provided by over 50 venues, free of charge, from June 1 through August 6, 2023.

 Holy Family Picnic | June 22 - 24
Picnic Fans! Please come out and join Holy Family for fun, fellowship, and food at the annual Holy Family Summer Picnic. The picnic will be held on Friday, June 23 from 5 PM - 11 PM and Saturday June 24 from 5 PM - 12 AM. We have also added a Thirsty Thursday to our picnic events. Adults welcome to come out on Thursday, June 22 from 6 PM - 10 PM for an evening of beer, music, pulltabs, and food. The famous fried chicken dinner will also be available on Saturday beginning at 5 PM and ending when they run out of chicken. All are welcome!
  Ballet Bound in Iroquois Park
This summer, in partnership with Olmsted Parks, Louisville Ballet will host seven outdoor audition workshops to identify approximately 20 dancers for the 2023-24 Ballet Bound Community Class. Auditions are open to all children ages 7-9 (by August 1).

 Riverview Independence Festival 2023
The Riverview Independence Festival is back! July 1st in Riverview Park. Enjoy music, food, and family fun! Event starts at 5pm. Fireworks start at 10pm.

 Free Safety Around Water Clinics
The YMCA will host free Safety Around Water clinics that will enable parents, children and adults to learn about water safety and take steps to improve their skills in and around water. Advance registration is requested.
Shawnee Park Pool – June 16, 4-7pm
Central High School – July 8, 4-7pm
Join us for a one-hour session to help you and your kids be safe in and around water this summer.
These sessions are free and open to the public. Attendees can choose to get in the water or stay on the side of the pool to participate.
