Metro Louisville Animal Services Adoptable Pets of the Week

It’s the time of year when we have very few cats available for adoption. This week’s dog bio is a bit longer to make up for that. Thanks!

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, rumble young Bumbles, rumble. Bumbles is actually a lover, not a fighter. With the help of staff, the approximately one-year-old Pit bull has gone from 'nervous nelly' to confident lovebug; she's still timid by nature but no longer fearful of new people. Winning her over is easy because she's food motivated and loves stinky treats. Bumbles isn't big on toys and games, but she loves going for long walks. Bumbles gets along great with other dogs during group play sessions, so would be totally cool with a canine sibling. Bumbles’ adoption fee is waived for an approved adopter, thanks to the Pay It Forward Adoption Program. Bumble weighs 64 lbs. She's already microchipped, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccinations. To meet or adopt Bumbles, visit Animal House Adoption Center, open 12-6pm daily. For more info about Bumbles, send an email to animalservicesadoption@louisvilleky.gov.

I-265 South (Gene Snyder Freeway): Left lane on the exit ramp to Westport Road and Chamberlain Lane (exit 32) was closed in January 2021 after a vehicle struck the overpass. U.S. 31E (Buechel Bypass): Right lane closure over the Norfolk Southern Railroad (mile point 10.4) due to findings from a routine inspection in 2021. The affected area is not visible while driving over the bridge. KYTC has secured money and an agreement with the railroad to make the repairs. The project will go out to bid in March. Motorists can use Bardstown Road as a detour.

KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road): Weekday lane closures possible between Gene Snyder and Preston Highway for road widening work. The project’s estimated completion is summer 2023.

BULLITT COUNTY

I-65 South (Kentucky Turnpike): These lanes will be closed:
