Effective January 1, 2022, retailers who sell any type or amount of tobacco or electronic smoking products or devices will be required to have a license to operate in Louisville. This new license was approved and enacted by Metro Council on April 1, 2021 with an amendment to Louisville’s Smoke-free ordinance (90.11).
The license includes an annual fee of $10, and a one-time zoning fee of $25, which will be due at the time of application. To apply, please visit the Accela Citizen Access (ACA) site.
Enforcement will begin January 1, 2022.
