Public Safety Town Hall Meetings October 12 & November

District 22,

Public Safety is the first and most important function of any government.  There is no question that our public safety situation in Metro Louisville is at a critical state.  We have record low LMPD officers, we have a crisis at Metro Corrections, and we are setting records in violent crime.  That is why the Republican Caucus of Metro Council is sponsoring a panel discussion and public Q+A next Tuesday, October 12th to talk about public safety in our community, current practices, and to hear input from residents.  The panelists will include some of the leaders in the fight to save our city including the Chief of Police of LMPD, Erika Shields.  This is a unique and rare opportunity to have this kind of public forum and direct contact with community leaders and Administration officials.

Please, if you are passionate about our city being a safe place for all, attend this meeting and contribute to the discussion.

Regards,

Robin J. Engel
