Child Abuse Prevention Month - join the Face It movement to end child abuse
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAPM), and Kentucky has the unenviable distinction of having the highest rate of child maltreatment in the nation, for the third consecutive year.
Kentucky Youth Advocates provide backbone support for the Face It movement to end child abuse (funded by Kosair Charities) which has a community education and awareness building component. To that end, Face It has a number of family-friendly materials on preventing and responding to child abuse that are provided FREE of charge.
This week, check out the Jefferson County Face It brochure. |
