My office has received many requests for the addresses and instructions on how to comment on the granting of a liquor license for the following application.  In the interest of transparency we wanted to share this information with everyone in the event you are interested in commenting.

The owners hereby declares intention(s) to apply for a NQ Retail Package License, NQ Retail Malt Beverage Package and Sampling License for the business to be located at 7105 Fegenbush Lane doing business as A1 Wine Spirit and Beer.

There are two agencies which approve alcoholic beverage licenses, State ABC and Metro ABC.  Anyone interested in commenting on the granting of the license(s) may do so by writing the two agencies. In this case letters must be received by September 28, 2018.  The addresses are:

 and

ABC Administrator Robert Kirchdorfer
 Louisville Metro Codes & Regulations

 Louisville, KY 40202

Some of the reasons for refusal of a license as stated by KRS 243.450 are:

  • Premise does not comply fully with all alcoholic beverage control statues and regulations of the board.
  • The applicant or the premises does not comply with all regulations of a city administrator
  • The applicant has one an act for which a revocation of license would be authorized.
  • The applicant has made any false material statement in his application.
