Apply Now: Fall 2025 Non-Formal CDA Courses
Early childhood educators have an exciting opportunity to advance their skills this fall through the Indiana Non-Formal CDA Course. These live, 14-week classes meet three evenings a week for three hours per session. Specific days and times may vary by course.
Attendance and active participation are required for all enrolled students. To be eligible, you must:
-
Be employed in a child care center, child care home, or child care ministry that is licensed, registered, or certified as a Legally Licensed Exempt Program (LLEP) Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) provider by the Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL)
- Be an Indiana resident, age 18 or older
- Work 20+ hours per week in Indiana
- Hold a high school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE)
-
Have a current criminal history/background check on file with OECOSL
These courses are designed to strengthen professional practice, meet licensing and quality standards, and prepare educators for the national CDA credential — boosting both career growth and program quality. Early application is encouraged as space is limited and classes begin soon.
If you're ready to take the next step in your professional journey, email pd@inaeyc.org to learn more and start the application process. Don't miss this chance to build your knowledge, connect with peers, and elevate the learning experiences you provide for Indiana's youth.
