State Road 18 will close in Benton County Wednesday

BENTON COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 18 will close on Wednesday, July 14 located at C.R. South 1100 East. This is located just west of the Benton and White County line. This is a four week scheduled closure for a bridge deck overlay. The roadway is scheduled to reopen Saturday, August 7.

The official detour follows U.S. 52 and U.S. 231.

This contract was awarded to Ram Construction Services of Michigan, Inc. for $750,757.  The project also includes bridge deck overlays on U.S. 52 over Big Pine Creek, located over one mile east of S.R. 352, S.R. 55 over Upper Sugar Creek, located over five mile north of S.R. 18 and on S.R. 18 over a tributary to Mud Creek, located just east of U.S. 41.
