The due date for the extension of time to file for Indiana's Individual Income taxes is coming up, Nov. 15. If a taxpayer was granted a federal extension of time to file (due Oct. 16), they were automatically granted an extension of time to file with Indiana. It's important to file on time to avoid late filing penalties.

Each year, DOR’s Business Outreach program provides tax practitioners with information on changes to Indiana tax laws, forms, agency processes and other issues. These presentations are part of Indiana University’s Tax Practitioner Institute and Purdue University’s Income Tax School, which offer two-day training workshops covering a variety of federal and state tax topics.
The 2024 Tax School season will include a mix of virtual and in-person workshops held across the state, providing opportunities to attendees to learn how to better serve Hoosiers in preparing returns for tax year 2024 and earn continuing education credits at the same time. For more and to register, refer to DOR’s Tax School information. We hope to see you there!
