Updated bidder registration processes

Greetings!

We are excited to announce that the process to Create a New Bidder Profile is truly self-service again!

The Bidder Profile Registration webpage available at https://www.in.gov/idoa/procurement/supplier-resource-center/requirements-to-do-business-with-the-state/bidder-profile-registration/ has been completely overhauled to help bidders and you with the changes.

At the top of the page, you'll see a new section labeled Completing and Managing Registration.

  • Under Does your company have a Bidder Registration Number already?, you'll find the Registered Bidders List button which will allow you and them to download the current bidder registrations.
  • Under Bidder Registration Guide, you'll find a new guide that will take bidders through a process to determine if a new registration needs to be created or if an existing one needs to be updated.  It's going to be a great resource for them and you!
  • Under About UNSPSC and your profile, they'll find information on UNSPSC categories and how they might want to add them to a bidder profile.

Underneath, you'll find the Update a Bidder Profile and Create a new Bidder Profile information.

When creating a new bidder profile, the person must pass multifactor authentication through Access Indiana before the application can be completed and submitted.  Once the profile has been created, the person listed as the contact will receive a confirmation email and the bidder profile can be found in PeopleSoft Financials by you.  After an overnight process runs, if there's a Supplier ID with the same TIN used on the Bidder profile, the two will automatically sync.

The process to update a bidder profile is also self-service managed through a form submission process for the time being.

If you work with bidders in any capacity, we strongly encourage you to review the information so you can provide any additional assistance they may need.  Please pass this information to anyone in your agency who is impacted by this change and didn't receive this message.

Thanks and have a great day!
