City of Carmel unveils Art StoryMap and interactive Art Walk Map
CARMEL, Ind., Oct. 14, 2025 - The City of Carmel announced the official unveiling of its online Public Art StoryMap and new interactive Public Art Walking Tours map to celebrate the existing collection of art pieces, encourage citizen engagement and promote healthy living through walking.
The new interactive tools, for the first time, bring to life Carmel’s vast array of art in an accessible digital format, a key goal of the City’s first Public Art Master Plan approved in July.
"Public art enriches our community, sparks dialogue and enhances our unique culture,” said Mayor Finkam. "These resources are a fantastic tool for both our residents and the many visitors who come to Carmel. I encourage everyone to use them to explore and engage with every piece of art in our city."
The interactive Public Art StoryMap provides a dynamic, self-guided visual tour experience for the user to learn about existing public art in Carmel.
The City's interactive walking tour, designed for optimal use on mobile devices, features two seamlessly connected segments: a one-mile route and a half-mile route. Participants can choose to walk either route individually or enjoy both as a continuous experience.
Experience the interactive Public Art StoryMap and Public Art Walking Tours.
