'Butterflies on the Monon' unveiling in Midtown

WHAT: Unveiling of "Butterflies on the Monon"

WHEN: Friday, Aug. 22, 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: 591 Monon Blvd., located behind Midtown Flats

WHO: Mayor Sue Finkam, Carmel Redevelopment Commission, Allied Solutions, MIBOR, J.C. Hart Company, artist Nancy Keating

DETAILS: Join the City of Carmel for the unveiling of new mosaic butterflies by artist Nancy Keating. Installed on the wall of the Midtown Flats apartments facing the Monon Greenway, these mosaics are the result of Keating's community chip-in events. Since the first butterfly was installed in 2023, 14 new mosaics have been created with the help of the community.

This project was made possible thanks to funding from the MIBOR Community Impact Initiative Grant, J.C. Hart Company, and Allied Solutions' partnership with the City of Carmel.
