Three Carmel swimmers are headed to Paris!
During the past week, 14 Carmel swimmers took part in the Olympic Qualifier Trials hosted in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium. To celebrate this achievement, the city was temporarily given the pseudonym SwimCity, USA, as we cheered on the participants from our community.
Three of our swimmers, Aaron and Alex Shackell and Drew Kibler, have officially made the USA Olympic Team and will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics later this summer.
City of Carmel employees showed support for the Olympic Trial qualifiers last week by donning their "SwimCity, USA" t-shirts to work! Check out the department photos below (right click and open in new tab to view photos at full size).
