Artomobilia hosts Keystone 10000
Keystone 10000 Road Rally, Saturday, May 6
For this event, there will be a closure at the roundabout at 126th Street and Keystone Parkway from 3 - 10 p.m. The public is welcome to come and see more than 150 cars between 4:30 and 8 p.m.
If you are traveling in the area, please plan your detour accordingly.

Construction and Traffic
VETERANS WAY AND MAIN STREET -The final phase of the burial of transmission lines continues in the Carmel Arts & Design District and has forced the temporary closure of a half-block stretch of Veterans Way, south of Main Street. The transmission burial project began in 2015 and included the conduit along the Veterans Way corridor from Carmel Drive to just north of Main Street. The current closure is expected to last about two more weeks and will be limited to daytime hours and some weekends. Access to the public parking lot located south of the Main Street shops will remain open
CITY CENTER DRIVE AND VETERANS WAY ROUNDABOUT - The construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of City Center Drive and Veterans Way - in front of Carmel City Center - is underway. The City is working to install new infrastructure as part of the project including storm sewers, water main, sanitary sewer, communications conduit, asphalt pavement, path, lighting and raised crosswalks within the right-of way.
This project is under a partial road closure with an expected completion date of June 30, 2023. Construction is taking place on City Center Drive between 3rd Avenue SW and Range Line Road. City Center Drive will experience periodic traffic flow restrictions and detours during times of construction. Driveways will be accessible for local traffic, and the City will work to maintain access throughout the duration of the project.

146TH STREET AND ALLISONVILLE ROAD - Please be advised, beginning on or after Tuesday, May 16, Phase One of construction for the grade separation intersection improvement will begin at 146th Street and Allisonville Road. One through lane and one left turn in all directions will be closed. During construction expect heavy backups and consider and alternative route.

Land Waste Pick Up
During the month May, the City's trash program includes pick-up of 20 extra bags or bundles per week, per home, of landscape waste.
- Please keep shrubs or tree limbs shorter than four feet (the trash trucks do not have the capacity to accept anything longer than four feet)
- Please set out landscape waste on your service day
- Please use the Republic Services trash cart or place bags near the trash cart
- Do not place landscape waste in your recycling cart

White River Report Card Launch and Canoe Race registration is live
|
|
This June, City of Carmel partner, the White River Alliance is hosting two events to share the White River Report Card findings, followed by a six to seven-mile canoe race. There will be food and refreshments, entertainment and awards for team spirit and top finishers! The first event will be held at White River Canoe Company in Noblesville on Friday, June 23rd and the second will be held at Canoe Country near Muncie on Friday, June 30.

Inaugural Carmel Jazz Fest launches August 11 - 12
|
|
The inaugural Carmel Jazz Fest is scheduled for August 11 and 12, 2023. The two-day festival will feature more than 30 international, national and regional jazz, R&B and blues acts across eight stages throughout Carmel, including The Palladium, The Tarkington, Carmel Gazebo, Carter Green, The Studio Theatre, Midtown Plaza, Feinstein's at Hotel Carmichael, Jazz on the Monon and pop-up performances. The event includes an upscale art market, beer, wine and food vendors.
