City of Carmel's Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony is today
The City of Carmel presents the 2022 Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony to commemorate those who were killed and the loved ones who suffered through the Holocaust.
Join Mayor Jim Brainard, Rabbi Benjamin Sendrow of Congregation Shaarey Tefilla, Rabbi Justin Kerber of Congregation Beth Shalom and City Councilor Miles Nelson as they present special guest speakers and musical performances during this annual event.

Construction Updates
SOUTH RANGE LINE ROAD - The 142nd roundabout in the City of Carmel at Range Line Road and Medical Drive is now open. The 143rd roundabout at Range Line Road and 116th Street will be begin construction on Tuesday, May 3 instead of Monday, May 2.
There is a significant traffic switch on South Range Line Road between Medical Drive and 116th Street.
The roundabout at 116th Street will be constructed one half at a time with east west connectivity maintained for the duration of the 110+/- days of work. For more info, read the news release here.
MONON GREENWAY IMPROVEMENTS - The City has partnered with Clay Township as part of the Clay Township Impact Program to provide enhancements along the Monon Greenway through City Center.
The project has currently completed most of the underground work; the pictures below show the new concrete that new pavers will sit upon. When completed, the Greenway will be substantially widened and will provide a better year-round user experience and connection to Carter Green. Additional pedestrian enhancements will be added along the length of the project with construction anticipated to continue through the end of the year.

May is Bike Month
May is National Bike Month and we have a lot going on in Carmel to celebrate. In addition to the in-person events, Bike Carmel is hosting the Love to Ride Bike Month Challenge where prizes can be won simply for riding your bike. Carmel Utilities continues replacing aging water meters across the community with new, enhanced equipment allowing for more accurate readings and better water efficiency.
In the next few weeks, our Carmel Utilities & Envocore - RTS Water Solutions install teams are scheduled to be in the following neighborhoods:

Republic Services Landscape Waste Pick-up - April & May
It's that time of year again! During the months of April and May, each Carmel Utilities/Republic Services household is allowed 20 extra bags or bundles per week of landscape waste, free of charge. Please place as much yard waste as possible into the trash cart, while allowing the trash cart lid to close. Large branches must be cut into shorter sections (no larger than four feet) and tied into bundles. Click here for more details.

Carmel Utilities Drive-up Billing Drop Box Temporarily Out of Service
The Carmel Utilities drive-up billing drop box, located in the south parking lot at Carmel City Hall, One Civic Square, is temporarily out of service. Due to deterioration and long use, the structure has become compromised and is no longer able to securely hold customer payments. Carmel Utilities will post updates and announce the re-opening of the drop box when those details are known.
Did you know there are several ways to make a Carmel Utilities bill payment? Please consider other convenient options:
-Drop payments off at the Carmel Utilities Administrative offices located at 30 W. Main St., Ste 220, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Check out Carmel Clay Parks' summer camp: Success on Stage! Put your kiddo's name up in lights! Enrollment for Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation's Success on Stage summer camp is open. Campers (ages 9-13) will have the chance to act, sing, dance and shine in two productions this summer. The first four weeks of camp will be spent preparing the Broadway Jr. musical, Shrek, Jr. In the second half of summer, campers will perform the comic play Rumpelstiltskin, Private Eye.
