COMMEMORATING DR. KING
City of Carmel presents 4th annual MLK Day commemoration on Monday, January 17, at the Tarkington Theater
What: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Commemoration.
When: Monday, January 17, 6 p.m.
Where: Tarkington Theater at The Center for the Performing Arts. Also streaming live at www.Carmel.IN.gov, Facebook and YouTube.
Who: Join the City of Carmel, the Mayor's Advisory Commission on Human Relations, the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Carmel and the Carmel Interfaith Alliance at this annual event benefitting the United Negro College Fund.
Details: This commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s work will feature music, dance and the spoken word highlighting the theme "Antidotes of Fear." The event is free and open to the public; current COVID guidelines will be strictly enforced:
- All entering the building must show either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours.
- Masks must be worn at all times, even when seated in the theater.
- Performers/speakers are not required to wear masks on stage but must wear them at all other times.
