Celebrating Hanukkah
The City of Carmel celebrated the Hanukkah season with the lighting of the menorah on Wednesday, December 1 at the Winter Pavilion.

Saturday, November 27 was a great day for the City's smaller businesses in the Arts & Design, City Center and Midtown districts. This nationwide event, was sponsored by Allied Solutions here in Carmel and really highlighted all that the City's retail and restaurant districts have to offer. Plan Commission reminds residents to send feedback on draft Comprehensive Plan
The proposed Comprehensive Plan update for the City of Carmel, is now being reviewed by the Carmel Plan Commission. If you'd like to see the draft, it is available at CarmelComprehensivePlan.com.
Upcoming meetings of the Comprehensive Plan Review Committee:
- Tuesday, December 7, 6 p.m.
Meetings to be held in Carmel City Hall and broadcast on the City's website, Facebook page and YouTube channel.
City of Carmel Bleed Blue Blood Drive
The City of Carmel, the Indianapolis Colts Bleed Blue program and Versiti (Bloodmobile) will host blood drives open to the public, in December on the following dates and locations. Registration for December 6 is now open.
December 6 - Carmel Street Department, 3400 West 131st Street, 7:45 - 10:45 a.m. December 15 - Carmel City Hall, 1 Civic Square, 1:15 - 4 p.m. December 28 - Water Treatment Plant, 4915 E. 106th Street, 10:45 a.m. - 1 p.m.
To make this event even more special, there is a contest between Carmel Police and Fire Departments to see who can generate the most donations. When you donate, ask the blooodmobile technician for a Vote Police (blue) or Vote Fire (red) ballot.
Donors will either receive their football by mail (December 6) or given a voucher to order online (December 15, 28).

In this season of giving, the Carmel Youth Assistance Program is a local organization with many opportunities to serve Carmel students and their families. CYAP works in collaboration with the Carmel Clay School District, City of Carmel, and the Hamilton County Superior Court.

Carmel Utilities continues to replace aging water meters across the community with new, enhanced equipment allowing for more accurate readings and better water efficiency.

Carmel Utilities - Holiday lights recycling
Carmel Clay Schools Green Teams, City of Carmel Utilities, Tech Recyclers and White’s Ace Hardware are working together to make it a green holiday season by offering a Holiday Light Recycling Drive.
Beginning Wednesday, December 10, and running through January 20, residents can recycle used and unwanted holiday lights at White’s Ace Hardware at 731 South Range Line Road. The Carmel Clay Schools Green Teams will be offering recycling at the individual schools from December 10 through January 6.

Movies at Midtown Saturdays through December
Head to Midtown Plaza for Allied Solutions' Movies at Midtown! Movies will run on Saturdays through December. Show times are noon, 3 and 6 p.m. Times are subject to change as we will also show occasional college football games through the end of the regular season.
December 4 - It's a Wonderful Life There will be a showing at 3 and 6 p.m. this Saturday.
Hand sanitizer stations are still available throughout Midtown Plaza and please don't forget to clean up your surroundings once you've enjoyed the movie. Be sure to follow Midtown Plaza's Facebook page for all events.
