Evanston's Main Street Fair, June 28
The spirit of summer festival season returns on June 28 when the inaugural Main Street Fair takes over the 700 block of Main Street from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The free, family-friendly event will bring the community atmosphere that made the former Custer Street Fair a beloved summer staple for decades. Fill up on food and beverages from local eateries while enjoying music on three performance stages, offering everything from jazz and blues to contemporary sounds.
The Main Street Fair features more than 100 artisans representing communities across the country. A special highlight is the Youth Marketplace, which showcases the work of artists and makers aged 17 and younger, providing young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to develop business skills while selling their handmade creations.
The fair also includes a dedicated area for kids and teens, featuring age-appropriate vendors and activities designed to engage younger community members in the celebration.
Thanks to the Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club, Evanston Made, Art Makers Outpost, Main Dempster Mile, and Around Evanston for making the Main Street Fair happen.
