4th Ward News
Hello friends,
A couple of announcements before the long holiday weekend…
Downtown Stakeholders Meeting in lieu of 4th Ward Meeting
In lieu of our regular Fourth Ward meeting next week, I’m joining with the other downtown councilmembers, Clare Kelly (Ward 1) and Krissie Harris (Ward 2), to host a Town Hall meeting for downtown stakeholders to review the Envision Evanston project. We’ll discuss the latest drafts of the new Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code; attendees will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and provide feedback.
We’ll meet in the community room at the Evanston Public Library on Tuesday, December 3, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or you can join virtually.
Chicago Avenue Corridor Project Community Meeting
Join 3rd Ward Councilmember Melissa Wynne and me for an in-person joint 3rd & 4th Ward meeting to review the proposed Chicago Avenue Corridor Project.
During the meeting, City staff will discuss the planned bike lane and impacts that the project will have on parking from Howard Street to Davis Street. Attendees will have the opportunity to view concept plans and exhibit display boards. City staff will be present to collect feedback and answer any questions.
The goal of the Chicago Avenue Corridor Project is to enhance safety and comfort for all roadway users, including pedestrians, cyclists, buses, cars, and other modes of transportation.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 10, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., in Room B/C at the Robert Crown Community Center.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
