Evanston Police Department Announces Labor Day 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' Campaign Results
EVANSTON, IL -The Evanston Police Department issued (59) seat-belt and child safety seat citations during the recent Labor Day campaign.
Evanston PD also took the following enforcement actions:

[1] suspended license arrest
-
[1] no driver's license arrest
-
[6] uninsured motorist citations
-
[16] distracted driving citations
-
[23] additional moving and non-moving violation citations
"As law enforcement officers, we do our best to protect motorists, pedestrians, and other road users," said Sergeant Scott Sophier of EPD's Traffic Bureau. "While enforcement campaigns like these save lives, there is still much to be done. Please help us spread the message: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."
The Evanston Police Department joined forces with other law enforcement agencies and highway safety partners throughout the state for the Labor Day traffic safety campaign.
