Lampert and Elder Fires
July 11, 2026, 8:30 a.m. PT
(Worley) Crews continue to make progress on two wildfires in the Worley area. The Lampert and Elder Fires are each estimated at approximately 30 acres. The Idaho Department of Lands, along with multiple local cooperating agencies, is actively engaged in suppression
efforts on both incidents. Control lines have been established around both fire perimeters; crews will be working today to secure and strengthen those lines.
Numerous engines, heavy equipment, and structural fire protection resources are on scene, and aerial resources will be utilized as needed throughout the day. Several structures remain threatened. For the safety of the public and firefighters, we are asking
people to avoid the area.
Both fires were reported the afternoon of July 10. The causes of both fires remain under investigation.
