Scottpit Fire
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 8, 2026, 5:00 p.m. MT
PARMA, Idaho – The 58-acre Scottpit Fire is now 75% contained, with full containment expected later this evening. The fire is located south of the Fort Boise Wildlife Management Area near the confluence of the Boise and Snake rivers, west/northwest of Parma.
The public is asked to continue avoiding the area to allow firefighters and emergency responders room to work safely.
The fire started Saturday, June 6, at approximately 8:23 p.m. The cause remains under investigation.
The fire is burning on Idaho Fish and Game land within the Idaho Department of Lands’ (IDL) fire protection area. Approximately 50 personnel remain assigned to the incident, but local fire resources were released this afternoon due to significant progress made today.
