Old Greer Fire Update

June 26, 2025 7:00 p.m. PT

(Greer) – Firefighters continue to battle the Old Greer Fire, which is now approximately 75 acres. The Lewis County Sheriff (https://www.facebook.com/LCSOID) has closed Old Greer Road due to fire activity. There are 5 structures threatened, however there are no evacuations at this time.

The Idaho Department of Lands (IDL), together with the U.S. Forest Service, the Nez Perse Tribe, and the Clearwater-Potlatch Timber Protection Association continue to work through steep, rugged terrain to construct containment lines, slow fire spread, and continue structure protection. Additional resources have been ordered and are expected to arrive tomorrow.

The Old Greer Fire is across the river from Greer, in Lewis County.

The fire was reported yesterday, June 25, 2025 at approximately 8:30 p.m. This cause of the fire is under investigation, as IDL investigates all fires in their districts.
