Hatwai Fire – FINAL Update

June 2, 2025, 5 PM PT

Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) is now patrolling the 250-acre Hatwai Fire. The fire is now 100% contained and controlled.

All fire engines are now released, and the Ponderosa Forest Protective District will monitor the fire until they are certain it is out.

Fire officials have verified the only structure that burned was a small outbuilding the size of a shed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
