Mowry Fire Nearing Full Containment

(Worley) – Yesterday firefighters continued to make progress on the fire. A spot fire occurred across the line late in the evening but was quickly suppressed. Fire line was completed around the main fire and all spot fires. Containment has reached 70%. Hose was laid to bring water to the fire edge.

Location:  Approximately 4 miles north of Worley, ID and just south of Cave Bay on Lake Coeur d’Alene

Estimated Size: 105 acres 

Cause:  Under investigation 

Firefighters on Scene: 7 engines, 3 water tenders, 1 hand crew, and 13 additional firefighters

Cooperating Agencies: Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Worley Fire Department
