On April 2, 2023 at approximately 19:32 hours Dallas County Deputies, Minburn Fire Department, and Dallas County EMS responded to the intersection of 170th Street and N Avenue in rural Dallas County for an ATV accident, with injuries.
Upon arrival, first responders located Sean Springer, 32 years old of Fort Dodge, Iowa who was not breathing. Life saving measures were attempted, but they were unsuccessful and Springer passed away. Another passenger in the ATV did sustain apparent minor injuries, but was not transported by ambulance for those injuries.
Deputies are continuing to investigate this fatal accident and believe that both speed and alcohol may be a factor.
Springer was transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office for further investigation.
