 Friendly Reminder to All Residents
As you tackle yard work this weekend, the city kindly asks that you be mindful of where you dispose of your yard waste.
- DO NOT PLACE YARD WASTE IN THE ROADWAY OR NEAR STORM DRAINS. This can cause storm drains to clog, leading to flooding, especially during heavy rains. When yard debris washes into storm drains, it prevents water from draining properly.
- Placing yard waste like palm fronds, mulch, leaves, and rocks on the street makes it easier for them to get washed into storm drains.
- When mowing, do not blow grass clippings onto the street, as they also clog drains.
- Do not place yard debris on top of inlets in or near your yard.
If you encounter a clogged drain, please report it at MyTreasureIsland.com/Issues or call 727-547-4575.
Thank you.

The County continues to navigate the challenges of having projects started.
Key points:
- This is an issue with the Army Corps and their requirement to have 100% easements signed (into perpetuity); the county has followed all procedures and leadership continues to stay on top of this
- The Pass-A-Grille project was able to move forward because they did not need easements signed.
- The County has been a leader not only in Florida but also in the United States with many counties and states now joining the efforts to get these projects slated.
