GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla – Clay County’s contracted waste hauler, Waste Management, continues to run behind on the collection of yard waste, and in some cases garbage and recycling, due to unexpected staffing shortages and large volumes of yard waste placed curbside from spring yard work.
The Clay County Environmental Services Department is communicating daily with Waste Management and is working toward a solution to the problem and will have more information soon.
Unfortunately, Waste Management’s staffing shortages are causing a regional impact and neighboring St. Johns, Duval, and Nassau counties are also experiencing delays in collection.
If your garbage /recycling is not collected within two days of your scheduled time, please use Clay County’s customer service portal at https://myservices.claycountygov.com/ to document and report the missed collection service.
We are aware that yard waste collection is running several days behind schedule. Crews are working hard to complete all collection routes county wide. Please leave your yard waste curbside and it will be collected as soon as possible.
