ANC 8A holds public meetings on the first Tuesday of each month, except April and August. All meeting notices are posted on the Office of Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (OANC) calendar. Meeting minutes are available on the ANC 8A website. Register now to join us for our next meeting.

Kimberlee Daniels, Chief Operating Officer of GW Hospital, has been appointed Interim CEO of Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health, effective January 26. She will provide leadership continuity and operational stability as the organization continues its mission of delivering high-quality, equitable care while strengthening its academic and clinical partnerships across Washington, DC.
As part of the Anacostia THRIVE initiative, MPD is sharing educational materials on recent increases in stolen autos and thefts. Please review the infographic and share them with your neighbors to help prevent these crimes and promote proactive community safety.

DDOT is updating parking signs across the District to ensure regulations are clear, consistent, and aligned with ParkDC policies and safety standards. Changes include consolidating signs, clarifying curbside rules, and improving visibility of restrictions such as the 25-foot no-parking zone near crosswalks. Collective Work
DDOT invites community stakeholders to attend a virtual Pre-Construction Meeting for the Pennsylvania Avenue and Minnesota Avenue corridors on Wednesday, January 28, 2025, from 1:00–2:00 PM. The meeting will outline upcoming construction activities, timelines, and what residents, businesses, and partners can expect as work begins, with project team members available to answer questions.
