Report of Total Actual Value Submission
The Division must collect information to calculate the statewide actual value growth from property tax year commencing on January 1, 2024 to property tax year commencing on January 1, 2025, per House Bill 24B-1001 (§39-1-104.2(1)(e)).
In order to accomplish this, we need all counties to send the Division of Property Taxation a report with your 2024 actual values.
The report must include the following two totals:
- Total actual value of all taxable real and personal property in your county.
- Total actual value of all exempt real and personal property in your county.
Please submit your county data by January 24, 2025, to the following email address: dola_dpt_reporting@state.co.us.
Include “Report of Actual Value – [County Name]” in the subject line.
If you have any questions please contact Tony Werckman at (303) 864-7767 or tony.werckman@state.co.us or Lori DeCrow at (970) 248-7308 or lori.decrow@state.co.us.
San Matteo Data Analytics 2025 Web Portal and Regional Audit Meetings
Some of you met our team at the Winter Conference, or heard through the assessment grapevine, that we are the new auditors, San Matteo Data Analytics (SMDA). We’ve launched the web portal and have received great feedback on improving ease of use, efficiency, and reliability. Over the next year, we’ll continue to roll out features to replace previous questionnaires, allow file uploads, and provide access to preliminary and final audit reports.
If you haven’t already, please add our domain (sanmatteodata.org) to your email server’s trusted list to ensure you receive timely communication and avoid emails going to junk.
We look forward to working with you during what will undoubtedly be an eventful two years of legislative changes. Please save the date for our regional meetings: January 14th (Districts 3/6), January 21st (Districts 4/5), and January 23rd (Districts 1/2). These sessions will focus on the plans for the audit, due dates, and changes in 2025, but if you have a conflict, feel free to attend any meeting. Our Chief Data Analyst, Will Wiggins, will present statistical insights, including time trending analysis, and Scott Houser and Alex Sandridge will assist with web portal questions. Kyler and David will also be helping with field questions about valuation.
If you have any questions about registering for the Regional Meetings via Google Meet or the content of the audit sessions, please feel free to reach out to me at joel@sanmatteodata.org.
