Work Session
- Council discussed Town owned land in the Town Center.
- Council discussed goals for the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC).
- Council discussed the goals around creating a 501(c)(3).
- Finance Director Mary Kay Perrotti presented a review of the 2026 budget.
- Council discussed formally approving a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore the creation of a Regional Transportation Authority (RTA).

- Consent Agenda - Council approved the items on the Consent Agenda including:
- Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 8, 2025 and July 22, 2025
- Approval of Bill List dated August 6, 2025 & Payroll Ledger dated July 25, 2025 and August 8, 2025.

Ordinance No. 09-25, Series of 2025 - A first reading to set the public hearing for an ordinance amending Chapter 16, Zoning, Article I, General Provisions of the Dillon Municipal Code incorporating solar panels into the rooftop mechanical equipment exceptions for the building height definition.

Resolution No. 30-25, Series of 2025 - A resolution making an appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Resolution No. 31-25, Series of 2025 - A resolution by the Town Council of the Town of Dillon, Colorado, making a n appointment to the Economic Development Advisory Committee; and setting forth details in relation thereto.
- Consideration of approval to use town owned property - Dillon Yacht Club for the 2025 Dillon Open.

Resolution No. 32-25, Series of 2025 - Public hearing for a resolution by the Town Council of the Town of Dillon, Colorado, making supplemental appropriations to various funds for the Town of Dillon, Colorado for the 2025 budget year was approved.

Ordinance No. 07-25, Series of 2025 - Second reading and public hearing for an ordinance of the Town of Dillon, Colorado amending section 4-6-60 of the Dillon Municipal Code to require monthly remittance of lodging taxes was approved.

Ordinance No. 08-25, Series of 2025 - Second reading and public hearing for an ordinance of the Town of Dillon, Colorado amending section 2-2-30 of the Dillon Municipal Code to amend the amount of time for public participation at meetings was approved.
- Council reviewed a presentation from Consensus Building Institute, INC for facilitation services.
- Council entered into an Executive Session pursuant to 24-6-402(4)(e), C.R.S. for determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiation, developing strategy for negotiations, and instructing negotiators relating to a sales tax rebate agreement.

Dillon Urban Renewal Authority Meeting

Consent Agenda - DURA approved the items on the consent agenda including:
- Minutes of the DURA Regular Meeting on May 13, 2025.
- Council Member Joshua Samuels requested to be added to the minutes as being in attendance for the DURA meeting on May 13, 2025.

DURA Resolution No. 05-25, Series of 2025 - A public hearing for a resolution by the Urban Renewal Authority, making supplemental appropriations to the Dillon Urban Renewal Authority for the 2025 budget year was approved.

DURA Resolution No. 06-25, Series of 2025 - A resolution approving a contract with Winn-Marion Barber, LLC for the 2025 DCFC EV charging station project was approved.

Public Comment
We encourage citizens to attend meetings in person to express comments either during public comment, which occurs shortly after the meeting begins, or at a public hearing.
Public comment may also be submitted electronically. Public comment must be submitted by 1 p.m. on meeting days. Although they will not be read during the hearing, comments will be provided to the reviewing body and so entered into the record as evidence for the public hearing or citizen comments.
Summit County is in Stage 2 Fire Restrictions
Due to extreme dry conditions, Summit County entered into Stage 2 Fire Restrictions on Friday, August 8. It’s important to be aware of and abide by current fire restrictions. And it’s important to understand wildfire prevention strategies related to camping, campfires, driving, outdoor equipment use, smoking, shooting and more. The community is encouraged to sign up for SC Alert, the county's emergency alert system for information regarding fire restrictions and wildfires in the area.
