A TIME OF GRATITUDE

supervisor cindy gustafson

With both Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day ahead of us, the month of November is an amazing opportunity for us to reflect on gratitude. This is a time to recognize the brave men and women that have served our country and defended our liberty as well as a time to be thankful for our own health and wellbeing.

While our Country's veterans should be thanked every day of the year, we get to celebrate these heroes on Saturday, November 11 - Veterans Day! Please join me in acknowledging and supporting their service at these various community events.

AUBURN VETERANS DAY PARADE AND COMMUNITY CEREMONY | Join the celebration, join the salute! The Parade will begin November 11 at 10:50am at the corner of Lincoln Way and Cleveland Avenue and will proceed down Lincoln Way. The parade will pause at the Central Square at 11am. There will be a brief patriotic ceremony with the release of doves, followed by a fly-over (weather permitting), and a three-volley rifle salute followed by TAPS. The parade will resume on High Street and end at the Gold Country Fairgrounds. LEARN MORE

VETERANS DAY SERVICES | Mark your calendar for the upcoming Veterans Day services on November 11 at 11:11am at the Placer County Veterans Monument site. The James E. Fowler, American Legion Post 264 Lincoln, CA and the Glen Edwards VFW Post 3010 - Lincoln/Sheridan California will honor Veterans with their annual Veteran's Day ceremony. LEARN MORE

FORESTHILL VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION | The American Legion Post 587 Foresthill, CA and Foresthill VFW Post 11294 will be marching through town on November 11 at 10am, starting at the Red and White Center on Main Street and ending at the Foresthill Veterans Memorial Hall. Also, please join me in thanking ALL of those who contribute so much to our safety and well-being and support our communities, including our: current service members; first responders in fire and law enforcement; health care professionals, hospitals, clinics, and health department; our educators and other public servants; the many incredible non-profits; small businesses; and our family, friends, and neighbors.

In Service,
Supervisor Cindy Gustafson

PLACER COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICE...
DO WE HAVE YOUR CORRECT ADDRESS?

vote

The March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election is quickly approaching! If you are a registered voter of Placer County, you should be receiving folded postcard in the mail from the Placer County Elections Office. An important tool in keeping elections cost effective and accurate, this postcard is used to verify voters’ registration information before the next election, and offers the opportunity to correct any errors, such as name misspellings and incorrect political party affiliations. To help the Elections Office ensure your voting materials arrive correctly, they request you take a moment to review the information on the card and return it to their office if anything needs updating. If you did not receive the postcard, you can always check your voter information at voterstatus.sos.ca.gov. Any questions about this postcard or any other elections-related information can be directed to the Placer County Elections Office by phone to 530-886-5650 (toll-free 1-800-824-8683) or by email to election@placer.ca.gov.
