Greetings from District 3.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Board of Supervisors for the dedication and compassion of the Placer County Sheriff’s Office in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. Your commitment to public safety is truly commendable, and we are proud to support your efforts.

We are particularly pleased to announce the board's approval of a new DSA contract for our deputies, recognizing the vital role they play in maintaining law and order within our county. This contract not only serves as a testament to our faith in your capabilities but also reinforces our commitment to providing our deputies with the resources they need to excel in their roles.

We recently had the privilege of going on a tour of the sheriff’s office where we were given an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at every division within the agency. These divisions included Corrections, Civil, Investigations, Evidence, Coroner, and Dispatch, and each presentation allowed us to witness firsthand the tireless efforts and dedication of the team that makes up the sheriff’s office.

We were deeply impressed by the professionalism, expertise, and unwavering commitment exhibited by each division during our visit. Your transparency in sharing your operations with us reflects your commitment to accountability and public trust.

Once again, I’d like to thank Sheriff Wayne Woo and his entire staff for their outstanding service to Placer County. We look forward to continuing our partnership in ensuring the safety and security of our community, knowing that we have a capable and dedicated team.

Warm Regards,

Supervisor Jim Holmes
