Due to construction, parking at the Senior Center will be limited from August 27 to September 1. During this time, the Senior Nutrition Program will temporarily relocate to the Community Center (201 S. Rengstorff Ave) from August 27–29. To help reduce congestion, please consider carpooling, allowing extra time, or using alternate transportation.
From August 27–29, all classes and clubs will be paused with the exception of MVLA ESL classes. Only the drop-in rooms — Technology Room, Game Room, and Exercise Room — will remain open. We apologize for any inconveniences. Thank you for your understanding!

Join North East Medical Services: A Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (NEMS PACE) for tips on how to manage your blood pressure. Free blood pressure checks will be provided. 55+ welcome.

Indoor Dining
The Community Services Agency’s Senior Nutrition Program offers dine-in meals in the Social Hall of the Mountain View Senior Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., sign-in starts at 11 a.m., and lunch is served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The Social Hall closes at 1 p.m. A $5 donation is suggested for permanent residents 60+ of Santa Clara County.
Lunch service is first come, first served and availability is not guaranteed.

Movies are shown on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. Join us for a screening in Multipurpose Room B.

Also, remember to dress warmly or bring a lap blanket, as the room tends to be on the cooler side.

 Senior Adult Legal Assistance (SALA) offers free legal services at the Senior Center on the first Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for Santa Clara County residents aged 60 or older. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.

 Free Grocery pick-up is the first through fourth Tuesday of each month, 8:30 - 10 a.m. Pre-registration is required. For more information, visit the Front Desk or stop by during program hours. Operated by the Second Harvest Food Bank.

 Initial and Refresher Driver Safety Courses are offered periodically throughout the year at the Mountain View Senior Center. Cost: $20 for AARP members; $25 for non-AARP members. Please pay on first day of course by check or cash only. Check is preferred. Credit cards are not accepted.
Initial class is (2) 4-hour classes to be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 4 - 8 p.m.

 Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) appointments are available at the Senior Center on the second Tuesday of each month from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. A volunteer counselor can assist with your health care options and rights. Pre-registration required, and space is limited.

 Having trouble with your iPad or iPhone? Schedule a 30 minute appointment with a volunteer, available Thursday Aug. 28 from 1 - 3 p.m. in the Counseling Room, to get your questions answered. Pre-registration is required.

 Post season tax assistance with certified volunteers available on the second Wednesday of the month at 9 and 10 a.m. Volunteers offer free e-filing and assistance for low to medium income taxpayers. Pre-registration required.

 A welcome tour of the Senior Center is held on the third Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. in the Lobby. During the tour, Staff will provide an overview of classes, upcoming events, social services, and more.

 The Senior Advisory Committee (SAC) meets on the third Wednesday of the month in June, Sept., and Dec. at 4:15 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the MVSC.
