- π¨ The Makerspace will be closed Apr. 1-5 for some spring cleaning and reorganizing. There will be no access to the space or supplies during this time. The Makerspace will reopen on Apr. 7. We appreciate your patience!
- Spring and Summer Registration is live! Be sure toΒ check out and register for The View Teen Center's awesome lineup of programs before they fill up.
- Use your hard-earned ViewBucks to shop at the ViewBucks Store, where you'll find a variety of items, including candy, school supplies, and prizes valued between 2-10 Viewbucks each. The store will be open on the first Friday of each month during drop-in hours. Check it out Friday, Apr. 4!

 Moonlight Masquerade! presented by the Teen Ambassadors Program
Friday, Apr. 25 7-9 p.m. The View Teen Center
Get ready for the Moonlight Masquerade β the teen event you don't wanna miss. We're talking music, dancing, giveaways, raffles, a photo booth for the 'gram, games, and more. Enjoy delicious passed appetizers and desserts while you mingle and make new friends. It's all planned by your fellow teens in the Teen Ambassadors Program, so you know it's gonna be good! Bring a mask or pick one up at the door.

 Shoreline Cleanup & Discovery! π±πΏπ
Saturday, April 26 9:30-11:30 a.m. Shoreline Lake - Sailing Lake Parking Lot
Connect with your community and nature! Join the Youth Advisory Committee and Shoreline staff for a morning of stewardship at Shoreline Lake. The morning will start at the Sailing Lake parking lot with some hands-on habitat restoration by removing invasive weeds. Then, a Park Ranger will lead a Bay Trail walk, sharing insights into Shoreline's history, the importance of its marsh ecosystem, and the diverse birdlife. The morning will wrap up with snacks, beverages, and giveaways on the grass. All necessary equipment and a safety briefing will be provided.

Submit your photograph that depicts the beauty, biodiversity, and resilience of the environment in and around Mountain View. The Earth and Arbor Day photo contest is open to all Mountain View community members, including teens!

 Teen Cooking Classes: Junior Chef Stars
Wednesdays, Apr. 16 - May 21 4:30-5:45 p.m. The View Teen Center
Wanna be a mini master chef and whip up restaurant-worthy meals? Suit up in your coolest apron and get ready to learn from seasoned chefs who'll turn you into a kitchen whiz. We're talking about creating, cooking, and conquering the world of food β all while having a blast! Learn about healthy eats, seasonal specialties, how to use fancy knives like a pro, and why different cultures put all sorts of amazing things on their plates.

 Adulting 101: Auto Insurance
Thursday, Apr. 17 6-7 p.m. The View Teen Center
This workshop will teach teens key aspects of auto insurance. Dive into auto insurance terms through a fun trivia session, discover what to do if you're in an accident, and learn about money-saving strategies like good student and good driver discounts. Get road-ready with essential knowledge for responsible driving! This workshop is provided by Ludwig Fawcett Insurance Brokers.

 Bike To Boba

There are so many cool Boba spots in downtown Mountain View. Embark on a monthly staff-led bike ride to explore a new Boba destination each time. Our city's transportation experts will also provide an overview of bike safety during these rides. Best of all, your Boba drink is on us!!

In this fun and creative workshop, teens will learn the basics of resin art and use their imagination to design personalized coasters.

 Books, Buttons, and Bites

This book club combines the joy of reading with creative expression and culinary fun. Each month, members read a selected book, design and create buttons inspired by the story, and then concoct snacks that reflect the book's themes or setting.

 The YAC is a dynamic group of 25 teens working alongside city officials and staff to bringΒ youth perspectives to the forefront of decision-making. From organizing events to addressing community needs, YAC members play a crucial role in making Mountain View an even better place for teens.

 VENTURE TO VOLUNTEER Camp
Jul 7-11, 2025 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The View Teen Center
$280 per teen
Looking for a fun, meaningful way to spend your summer while earning volunteer hours? This "Venture to Volunteer" camp is perfect for teens aged 14-17 who are passionate about making a difference in their community. This camp offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about and work directly with local non-profit organizations that need your help. Open to Mountain View residents only.

College Tour: Foothill College
*new date!* Foothill College: Day on the Hill Saturday, May 3 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
College Tours are offered during the school year and are open to Mountain View and Los Altos 11th and 12th grade students. These trips give teens the opportunity to visitΒ collegeΒ campuses, speak with current faculty and/or students, and dine on site.

Looking to shoot hoops, spike a volleyball, or just hang with friends?
The City of Mountain View's FREE Teen Open Gym is THE place to be on Saturday nights! Open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Whisman Sports Center to all Mountain View and Los Altos middle and high school students! Just bring your student I.D.
π¨Heads up! There will be no Teen Open Gym on Saturday, May 3 due to a special event put on by the Youth Advisory Committee. More details coming soon!

 The Teen Zone at the Mountain View Public Library is an area in the Library dedicated to teens. Seating in the Octagon area of the Teen Zone is reserved during all open Library hours for teens and those accompanying them.

Feeling overwhelmed by finals? Need a break from the books? Escape the pressure of finals with our calming yoga and meditation program designed for teens. Release tension through gentle yoga, quiet your mind with guided meditation and breathing exercises, and learn mindfulness techniques to improve focus and boost energy.
