Brain Health & Aging - The Basics
Thursday, Jan. 11 Social Hall, 1 p.m.
Learn and live an active life – by learning more, being social, staying fit, eating healthy, sleeping better, and managing stress. It is our best bet for maintaining our brain health. Share your brain health tips and be inspired by others. This class is a good overview for anyone interested in improving their brain health and will provide you with action steps you can take along with resources to learn more.

BOOST: Creating & Embracing a Fulfilling Life - El Camino Health
Thursday, Jan. 18 Social Hall, 1 p.m.
BOOST (Balance, Openness, Outlook, Strengths, Thrive), is an engaging, interactive workshop where you will explore what gives your life meaning and how to create and sustain increased life satisfaction and fulfillment for yourself now. Dr. Lori Riggio, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Health Creation Coordinator at El Camino Health Mental Health and Addiction Services, will help guide you through your own individual BOOST process to discover what life satisfaction really means to you and help create a personal life fulfillment “blueprint".

Stanford - Cardinal Free Clinics
Thursday, Jan. 25 Social Hall, 1 p.m.
What do annual check-up results really mean, and what should I be keeping track of?
Join Cardinal Free Clinic volunteers for a workshop about annual check-ups and how to keep track of your health. We will be going over topics such as blood pressure, cholesterol levels, blood sugar levels, and others. With heart disease and diabetes remaining as the leading causes of death in the United States, we hope to inform you about how these diseases are caused and how to prevent symptoms from occurring. We will bring blood pressure monitors and talk about what the numbers mean. Mandarin translator may be available.

Annual Pancake Breakfast
Please join us for our Annual Senior Pancake Breakfast at the Mountain View Senior Center on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9 – 11 a.m. This event will include a hot breakfast of 2 pancakes, 2 breakfast sausages and 1 serving of eggs. From Jan. 5 through Feb. 2, tickets will be sold at the Front Desk ($5 each). Tickets can be purchased, CASH ONLY, during normal business hours 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Day of walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Please note that the last service will be served at 10 a.m., with the facility closing at 11 a.m. Please call 650-903-6330 for any questions. Event is for 55+ years of age and their guest.

Just in time for New Year's Resolutions to exercise, the restriction of the maximum of four patrons has been removed and reservations are no longer required. The Front Desk will continue to offer hand wipes for your convenience. Please bring your Exercise Room card each time you are using the equipment. Looking forward to seeing the 'Best You' this year.

Indoor Dining
Community Services Agency's Senior Nutrition Program has a full dine in meal service in the Social Hall of the Mountain View Senior Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Sign in will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The Social Hall will close at 1 p.m.
Lunch service is first come, first served. On occasion, not all patrons can be served.

Come to one of our movie showings in Multipurpose Room B. Maximum seating for movies is 36. First come, first served.
When available, screenings have captions for the hard-of-hearing. There is no fee to enjoy these popular movies and seating begins 30 minutes before the show.
Tuesday and Friday movies start at 1 p.m. Wednesday movies start at 5:30 p.m.
NOTE: Please bundle up or bring a lap blanket with you to the movie. The room tends to be on the cooler side.

 AARP tax aide certified volunteers provide free assistance and e-filing for low-to-medium income tax payers. Income tax filing deadline is April 15, 2024. Appointment time slots are on both Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 - 11 a.m. commencing Feb. 7, 2024. We will begin accepting appointments on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.
