Upcoming SB 54 Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act Non-Regulatory Public Workshop

10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) will be holding a non-regulatory public workshop on June 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PT).

The purpose of this non-regulatory workshop is to solicit feedback from the public, regulated community, and other interested persons regarding covered material category (CMC) guidance and source reduction baseline reporting guidance to support implementation of the Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act [Senate Bill (SB) 54 (Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022)]. CalRecycle plans to publish a discussion document and other relevant material for consideration and feedback prior to the workshop.

More information will be forthcoming through the listserv and will be available on the SB 54 Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act webpage prior to the meeting.
