Traffic Collision turns into Homicide

Kevin Alexander

On November 16, 2020 at approximately 9:00am, Fontana Police Department received a call reference a traffic collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle.  As officers were arriving, it was determined that the vehicle involved had left the scene.

The white vehicle was travelling eastbound on Arrow and the motorcycle was travelling northbound on Locust.  The white vehicle ran the red stoplight, struck the motorcycle and continued through the intersection. The white vehicle was later identified as a white, Oldsmobile Intrigue and the driver of the vehicle was later identified as Kevin Alexander (29), of San Bernardino.  The victim was a 53 year old, white male from Fontana.  The Oldsmobile made a U-turn, drove back to the scene of the collision and struck victim a second time.  He then drove away northbound on Locust.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Through the investigation it was determined that Alexander intentionally hit the motorcycle rider/victim the second time.  On November 17, 2020, Fontana Police detectives located Alexander at his residence in the 2200 block of Ramona,  in San Bernardino.  He was arrested without incident and will be charged with Homicide.
