Motorcycle Rider Dies In Collision

On 01/11/2020, at approximately 5:31 pm, Fontana Police Officers and SBCO Medics responded to a collision between two motorcyclists on Mango between Baseline and Wabash.  Upon arrival first responders located a 42-year-old, male unconscious and unresponsive at the scene.  The other rider, a 30-year-old Fontana man, was uninjured in the collision.   The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased.

The Fontana Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded to the location and took over the investigation.   The two riders were riding with two additional motorcycles.  The cause of the collision is still under investigation.    The deceased rider’s name is being withheld pending official identification by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.

The roads will be closed until the scene is cleared by MAIT.   Please follow Fontana PD on social media for an update when the road is reopened.
