Fontana, CA

A Heritage Intermediate School student has been arrested for making threats to conduct a shooting at the school.  On Thursday, October 31, 2019, school officials discovered a 13-year-old student had made threats.  Patrol officers responded to the school and arrested the student.  Detectives have met with the student’s parents and searched his Rancho Cucamonga home in the 6200 block of Driftwood.  No weapons or evidence related to the alleged threat were located.

At this time school administration and detectives feel confident the threat was an isolated incident and no evidence of a credible threat exists.  Etiwanda School District sent parents a notification of the incident.

The student was issued a citation for threats made.  The student was released to his parents.    His name is being withheld from public release at this time due to his age.  School officials confirmed the student is an 8th grader at the school.
