Press Release

Detectives from the Fontana Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force discovered Leonel Zuniga-Zarza (26 years of age) was distributing child pornography over the internet from his residence in Fontana.

On April 11, 2019, a search warrant was served at Leonel’s residence (16000 Block of Randall Ave.) in the City of Fontana.  The El Monte Police Department assisted in the apprehension of Leonel a short time later.  ICAC Detectives took custody of Leonel from EMPD and transported him to the Fontana Police Department where he was booked for distribution of child pornography.  He was later transported to the West Valley Detention Center for housing.

A search of Leonel’s electronic storage devices revealed evidence relating to the downloading, viewing, and distribution of child pornography.  Additional child pornographic images were discovered on Leonel’s electronic devices.
