December 1, 2023 Update

Registration and Titling Down December 7-11 For Upgrades

The Alabama Department of Revenue will upgrade its registration/titling system beginning Thursday, Dec. 7 – Dec. 11. Due to their system being down, Jefferson County’s system will be down as well and we will not be able to process any transactions related to the registration or titling of a motor vehicle, boat, or mobile home during this time. We appreciate your patience as the State upgrades it's system.

SBA offers loan assistance for business who suffered due to the drought

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced on Nov. 29, 2023, that federal Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) are available in Alabama for small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofit organizations with economic losses due to the drought that began Nov. 14.The declaration includes Bibb, Calhoun, Chilton, Etowah, Greene, Hale, Shelby, St. Clair, and Talladega counties; and the contiguous counties of: Autauga, Blount, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Dekalb, Elmore, Jefferson, Marengo, Marshall, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa in Alabama.
