Students and staff enjoyed Hat Day today!

KMES is celebrating Inclusive Schools Week!  Inclusive Schools Week is an annual event held during the first full week in December. It provides the opportunity for educators, students, and parents to discuss how to successfully educate all children. This year’s theme is “Kaleidoscope of Friends.” Kaleidoscope comes from two Greek words: kalos, meaning “beautiful,” and eidos, which means “shape.” Education takes on a beautiful shape when all children are welcomed and valued as contributing members of the school community!

The KMES Book Fair is coming on Thursday!  We are pleased to announce that our book fair will be December 6th through December 12th during school hours in the library. It will also be open on the evening of December 7th in conjunction with the Family Fun Night from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. We hope to see you there, just in time for the holidays!

Are you ready for some boot scootin' fun?

The 28th annual KMES Hoedown will be held on Tuesday, December 4, in the gym.  Students and staff will once again showcase our square dancing skills!  All parents/guardians are invited to join us for this "can't miss" event. Please wear western clothing, bring your SMILE, and be ready to have a great time! Unfortunately, due to space constraints and the active nature of the event, younger siblings will not be permitted to attend this event.

The schedule for each grade is below:

  • 9:45-10:25      (Kindergarten)
  • 10:30-11:25    (3rd Grade)
  • 11:30-12:25    (1st & 2nd Grade)
  • 12:55-1:50      (6th Grade)
  • 1:55-2:50        (5th Grade)
  • 2:55-3:50        (4th Grade)
