Leftover licenses sold through applications rather than first come, first served this year

The process to pick up any leftover Wyoming elk, deer, and antelope hunting licenses is changing this year. Any leftover licenses from the initial draw will be distributed through a leftover draw--they will no longer be sold on a first come, first served basis. The application period will be open from June 26 - June 30>

Take a glimpse inside the law enforcement efforts of Wyoming’s game wardens--the 2016 Wyoming Game and Fish Department Law Enforcement report is now available. This annual report highlights the law enforcement efforts and related activities of Game and Fish law enforcement personnel throughout the state.

Inside the report are regional stories of some of the unique and most notable solved poaching cases of the year. Many of these cases were solved with help from Stop Poaching tips from the public>

Thanks for asking. The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission owns and manages lands for many purposes. The Commission’s land acquisition program works to conserve our natural areas and wildlife habitat in Wyoming for future generations. The lands program has direct and indirect benefits for wildlife, sportspeople, farmers and ranchers. The main purposes include>

Game and Fish will be hosting a Facebook Live event to take your questions about leftover application questions on Tuesday, June 27 at 12 noon MST. To watch visit the Game and Fish Facebook page at the time of the event. To receive a Facebook notification when the event begins, like the page. You do not need to be a Facebook user to watch the video. 


Your hunting calendar

June 22, 10 a.m.- Draw results available for resident license applications for elk, deer, and antelope; and non-resident license applications for deer and antelope.

June 26-30- Leftover license draw application period for elk, deer and antelope.

June 27, 12 noon- Facebook Live event for leftover draw application questions. Join here.

July 3, 8 a.m.-Applications open for fall turkey, limited-quota trapping, limited-quota sandhill crane, Glendo and Springer special pheasant hunts and preference points. 

July 3, midnight-Deadline to purchase Super Tag and Super Tag Trifecta tickets.

July 13, 10 a.m.- Draw results available for elk, deer and antelope leftover licenses.
